About the Artists

REGINA MARTINEZ, also remembered as selective listening, is a sound centered artist based in Chicago. Her current experiments draw from an archive of infinitely personal recordings she relates to as soundmarks: her father's hands cleaning dried beans, drumline rehearsal after school, the flap of our clothes outside on the line. Each recorded moment becomes its own instrument, its own layer of composition, and a washing and wringing out of memory meant to be overheard like a poem again and again.

For more information, visit Regina’s website.

ELIOR (they/them): “Like dancers passing on a surface, and a choir vibrating the air, and the leaves breathing in the wind. I create moving, rooted, harmonious compositions, often frozen in the still mediums of painting and drawing. Yet sometimes in special moments the scale allows for time and motion to take a larger breath in the work. Time, a game flattened by our age, often separates the mediums, one I hope to unfurl and bring together through the seasons of me.”

LORI MENDOZA is a Chicago-based floral designer and photographer. Her clients have included the National Museum of Mexican Art, Design Within Reach and HAY. She also freelances for events throughout Illinois and New York. Her photographs have been published in the Chicago Reader and in International Anthem's "Tracing the Lines" magazines.

DJ NINA NITE is known for setting the nightlife scene ablaze with her electrifying mixes. With a passion for music that transcends genres, Nina Nite has crafted a unique sonic identity that captivates audiences and keeps dance floors alive. Her seamless transitions and intuitive understanding of crowd dynamics make every performance a memorable experience. With a magnetic stage presence and an ear for the latest beats, DJ Nina Nite is not just a DJ; she's a curator of unforgettable moments, ensuring that each event she touches becomes a vibrant celebration of rhythm and energy.

DANIEL VILLARREAL is a drummer, musician and DJ in the Chicago music scene. Originally from Panamá he fuses his pan-Latin style with influences of psychedelic rock, Cumbia, afro-beat, boogaloo, rock, free experimental jazz, hip-hop, and funk to create an original contemporary soundscape.
