1 in 2 is a multimedia installation by sound artist Meredith Haines. The project is the result of a year-long exploration of STI stigma and how it manifests in the body, language, and media. Using techniques such as projection mapping, Arduino sensor technology, and generative sound composition, Meredith is creating an immersive environment that addresses the stigmatization of STIs through language. Using repurposed and reclaimed technologies, the piece imagines alternative representations of STI-positive individuals in the media.
1 in 2 features projections by Maya Roussell.
